ISM Installation
My 2009 R350 is sitting in the driveway since a few weeks.
I finally received my new ISM from Aliexpress.
Before programming, I want to fit it to the gearbox itself.
Now, how can I know both the gearbox and the ISM are in the same gear position?
I assume it should be synchronized before bolting on. I can probably adjust the ISM manually but what about the gearbox?
Is there any already written procedure?
Thank you for your help.
Regards
these people sell everything. Let me know how it works. I had issues with ISM, could not fins it anywhere. So i was buying one virginized refurbished from some bulgarian company. That was years ago.i have used this instruction, attached with the message. They have sent me steps with learning, calibration procedure as well. I would need to search for those. Do you need them?

thank you so much for your answer.
Actually, since China was the last and only market where the R-Class was sold up until 2017, they do provide all kind of spare parts and so far, I have saved money and didn't run into great disappointment...
I purchased the steering pump, the AC radiator (inside the dashboard), rear balloons, from shock absorbers (standard), intake manifold repair kit + other bits and pieces...
Used parts in KSA are incredibly expensive so I am better off buying new, even if from China !
Regarding my car, I'll have a computer tonight so if you may also share the programming procedure, that would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance and I shall obviously post here how things are going forward.

Here are the steps i was provided, attaching them. There is a text file explaining the process.
Everything worked well when i was going through them. There was one warning coming up on dash when doing this learning (was saying can not shift to park, or go to workshop (?) can not recall exactly now), but after all was completed, ISM worked well with no problems.

I'll do that hopefully tonight.
Thanks again.

I didn't manage to get the right computer today.
Still I plugged my new ISM in, did some reset with bluetooth OBD gizmo. I started the car, no more error, no more sound. I coupled the shaft and the gearbox together and it is working. I didn't have to do any programming.
This is not clear at all to me.
I don't understand what happened...
I drove the car a few hundred meters. It seems fine. Gear selection shift is working fine.
Actually less noisy than before.
But all good.
If anyone has any clue as to what just happened, i would love to hear it...
Thanks
