AMG GT Black Series
The first number or letter in the VIN tells you where the car was manufactured/assembled. R63 starts with a 4 which is USA. Yes the GLB is made in Mexico and some cars do come from South Africa.

America Codes

North America
1, 4, or 5 United States
2 Canada
3A-3W Mexico

It also appears that the "Unicorn of my Destruction" is now in Canada. It looks like it was moved up there earlier this year. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/fo...10824/page126/

Do you know anything more about the silver one that you thought was exported but wasn't? It wasn't this one from BaT, was it? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...s-benz-r63-30/
DrewBert got in on the action and it's now in my garage haha I have now owned 2

The pewter one I sold, went to Toronto. I just chatted with him and he still has it.
The silver one you posted was in Toronto I don't remember where it went I will ask him.
There is another silver one in Toronto, with high KMs and rust issues.

There was a white one for sale a couple years ago too, guy was asking 48k or something. So it definitely isn't only 5 in Canada it must be 10.

DrewBert, congragulations. How much did you end up paying...I know you bid $25,000 but didn't meet his reserve.

Any plans for this new to you R63?

Ended up paying $31,000, it's in rougher shape that the last one body wise. Nothing crazy 3 door dings, front passenger 1/4 has a big scratch, passenger doors have smaller scratches that will likely buff out and rear hatch doesn't stay all the way up.

Plan is to clean up the body and drive it, I regret selling the last one. Also so the Caravan so I need a vehicle to haul the 4 kids as the M8 Gran Coupe Comp isn't the best at that

It's good you managed to buy it in the end. I regretted selling mine back in 2011 and was on the lookout for one. When a local R63 with only 15,000km came up for sale, I just had to buy it.
if you are looking for an extra set of the factory 20" wheels, I have an extra set mounted with near new 265/45 20 Michelin X-Climates. I'm running 2 sets of 21" wheels - one with summers and the other set with winters.

Nice! Welcome to the club... again!

The silver one I posted apparently went to New Jersey, at least according to comments from the winning bidder on BaT. If you can verify that, though, that would be great.
Do you know the owner of the high-km rusty one in Toronto?

White 2007 R63....Production by Color?

See some people have been keeping this thread alive. Has it been confirmed only 30 R63 brought to US in 2007 only? Anyone have a breakdown on colors? I just picked up a gloss white over black example and plan to sell on BAT unless I get a good offer beforehand. I think the car could be worth $35-40k in this crazy market. Its fully loaded in excellent shape. California car with lots of service. 130k miles

Technically, no R63s were brought to the US; they were built in Alabama.

There were a lot more than 30 built for the North American market. The best number appears to be 113 with 107 of those being sold in the US.

This is the best info I've seen for the color breakdown.

I about crapped my pants when I came back from visiting my family from Thanksgiving in PA. As I was coming home to VA, I saw a r63. I believe it was silver. I wanted to take a picture but figured it wasn't safe trying to look at the road, look at the r63 and then fiddle with the phone..lol.

My wife didn't understand just how rare of a vehicle it is. I was trying to explain how bad *** the vehicle is and how such low numbers there are. She just replied "it's a minivan", ...smh. Actually this is the first time I have personally seen on in the flesh besides pictures here.

I was really hoping the person would give it some beans while I was beside them, but it was a little Korean woman driving so I'm even wondering if she knew what she had or if it was just a "people hauler/mini van" to her..lol.

Needless to say it was cool to see!
