R-63 AMG - PRODUCTION NUMBERS
DOES ANYONE KNOW (CREDIBLE SOURCE) WORLD WIDE PRODUCTION NUMBERS FOR R-63 AMG. I AM THINKING SELLING MINE, AND ATTEMPTING TO ASSESS PROPER VALUE.

Only 44 were imported but there was a reason for that. No one wanted most of the 44 that came in.
I would be one of the people waiting for one to hit the auctions again. Then I will pounce on it and have what I think is a pretty fun car!

2008 E63 AMG, 2007 GL 320 CDI 4matic
I don't know of a credible source off the top of my head for the number of R63 /////AMGs in exsistance. For a realistic price comparison I saw an R63 /////AMG for sale in Florida listed on autotrader.com for $57,950. They claimed in the description that there where only 30 produced in the world but I am assuming they just said that to sell the car quicker, in my humble assesment

There are 180-something worldwide and I believe 48 are in the US from what I recall.

The only one I've ever seen was Barolo Red (Stunning color combo) and I almost passed it off as a regular R until the guy went by at WOT and it sounded like a NASCAR. This was in El Dorado Hills, Ca.

I did not even know they MADE R63's until I saw just one on Ebay (thought it was fake at first!)
Auction just ended but these were the info/numbers:
2007
87,872 miles
11 Bids $30,218.00
Just quick question, why would anyone pick an R63 over the ML63?

R-63 production numbers
The venerable R63 AMG was NOT an import!!! I am a retired Star Sales Consultant and Star Pre-Owned Manager. The entire production for MBNA (Mercedes-Benz of North America) was 113, of which one unit travelled the show circuit (Travertine White w/Brown Napa Leather) and was sent to the museum in Stuttgart - five (5) were delivered to Canada, and the remaining 107 were distributed to the 453 Authorized Dealers at the time here in the states! Not all dealers received one, and the first ones sold quickly for premium prices... larger market dealers were lucky if they saw more than one, and very few if any were allocated based on earned AMG sales volume to smaller rural and suburban stores. There is a w251 production number color combination chart online that accurately portrays all the info I have given herein as to the 108 produced for the US less the one show car - take my word for the five delivered in Canada!!! As far as exports, my estimation is that there were between another hundred to hundred and fifty built, half of which went to Europe including Germany, and the balance was split between the Far and Middle East... hope that clears up the question once and for all - I own one of 26 built in Irridium Silver w/Black Napa Leather....
P.S. There were two built for the US in Barollo Red, both over Black Napa Leather... just fyi.

Of the 5 or 6 sent to Canada, the one I owned from around 2008-2012 was sold down to USA.
Another 2 were also sold down to the USA in the past few years.
Assuming no further R63s were purchased from the USA to Canada after these initial 5 new orders, there are only TWO or THREE left in Canada.
I know of one Black R63 with 45,000km that was recently sold from Vancouver to Calgary. I had considered buying this one as well but it sold before I could go down to see it.
I recently purchased the other R63 left in Canada (Iridium Silver on Black) back in February of this year with only 15,000km.

rbtmak, are you sure there was a third that left CAN for USA?
There's few enough of these vehicles, that it isn't entirely insane to try to keep track of them... only partially insane.

I have info on 3 silvers in Canada (your pewter and two iridiums), and one more iridium that was exported to NJ from Toronto a year ago. rbtmak's old one that sold to the USA and the black one in Calgary you two mention make 6.

I heard that a silver one was exported out but apparently, it's still here. I know of another silver one that is for sale in Alberta. Was on Rallyautoauctions just a week or so ago.

I can't be 100% sure. I do know my first silver R63 went to USA (user WallyR350) and my current one is a local one that I bought in February 2020.

It also appears that the "Unicorn of my Destruction" is now in Canada. It looks like it was moved up there earlier this year. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/fo...10824/page126/
Do you know anything more about the silver one that you thought was exported but wasn't? It wasn't this one from BaT, was it? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...s-benz-r63-30/

This is the other one I am referring to: I looked at it about 5 years ago, when the fellow was asking only $20,000 but at the end, he would take $10,000.
BUT, I believe it was a salvage title and it needed at least $30,000 of work - excessive rust, airmatic failure, engine codes etc etc.
It was in terrible shape, the interior was all modified with weird leather.
I think it came up from the USA at one point, as the seller back then told me it was owned by an athlete and the car was bought for his wife. It was purchased by someone locally here in Vancouver last year, and is now up for sale on Facebook:

The silver one on Bat is from Ontario so not local to me.
Looks like Mercedes Sales guy was incorrect stating only 5-6 R63 were ever sold in Canada. I think that number is closer to 10-15.
