New owner of a R63
It is definitely a nice vehicle for long drives. I is a great cruiser and it will surprise some M3's and Corvettes along the way.

I will post up some pictures later. It is filthy from the drive home.
HAHAHAHA, I do not like the rims; but, my wife really likes them. So we will see.
Suzan,
I am not an expert detailer. I generally stick with one product line for the detailing process. I have had good success with Adam's polishes. Basically, 2 times a year, I wash the car, clay it, polish, seal and the next day either go over it with a carnuba wax or a glaze. The interior is no magic. I use lexol on all the leather and Tuff Stuff for the carpets.
Each week, I give them a quick wash and blow them dry with a leaf blower (10 minutes) and once a month, I give them a more detailed wash and wax with a carnuba wax.
It sounds like alot; but, if they are kept clean, the washes and waxes in between are really quick.
I was able to get it for below their buy it now price. The nice thing is the everything except the rear DVD player works and there are no rattles. I have driven it around NYC since I got it and no squeaks or rattles, it sounds like a new car.

I called and left a deposit on it sight unseen. Then flew out, got a clean pre purchase inspection at the local MB dealer, paid and drove it home.
They seem to go for sale a few times a year. You just have to be willing to wait and travel.
Brian:
Congrats on your purchase. I am a big fan of the R63 . . . a unique (in a great way) vehicle that is the rarest of all AMGs. I agree with others that you may have to consider changing the wheels . . . GenericSNxx's stock 21 inch (for European R63s) look really good. I hope you and your wife have many years of happy motoring.

If anyone wants the 22" Forgiato rims, I would be willing to make a deal.
