Dead Battery

After 7 long years my battery just died on me. If my memory serves me correctly the battery is under the passenger seat....PIA. I replaced the battery on my R350 so this shouldn't be too hard.

If I am feeling inspired I might take pics and a little DIY.

This is what I am replacing it with from Autozone:

Notes: *** 850 Cold cranking Amps (N/A cranking Amps) ***. 170 reserve minutes. Warranty consists of 3 years free replacement. Check the customer's vehicle. Battery installation could take up to 66 minutes. Battery gasses need to be vented to outside. AGM valve-regulated battery required. Battery located under passenger seat.

Yes the battery is a PITA to replace and it is under the front passenger seat. To reach everything easily it's recommended to remove the seat. If you want to save on labor and only pay MSRP dealer price for the battery, call roadside and have them come to your house and replace it (you only pay for the part and no labor). They might even give you a coupon for some $$ off at your next visit to the dealer.

I did pull the seat out, it makes swapping the battery very easy. The whole job takes around 45 minutes start to finish.

There is 4 bolts holding the seat down and you need to disconnect a couple of connectors at the front of the seat.

There also another 4 bolts holding down a cover to the battery, and a bolt holding down the battery.
