I posted red blue and black (I think) pics a while back -- but am scheduled to get these calipers done next month and haven't decided on color... blue?
I really don't want to attract too much attention since one thing I appreciate is the stealth mode you're always in driving this car. But the gold to me looks great too...capri blue car. The blues calipers are a lighter and darker blue.
Slowly but surely getting it into near mint shape. Had the evaporator replaced and all O-rings for the AC last year. Previous owners CUT OUT the rear seat belts, so had them put back in... has 65K miles now. Used primarily as a trip vehicle for the family. Thought of selling as I really want to keep miles down but therefore don't use it much, and not sure being a collector is my thing (even if it's one car lol), but always seem to pull back from actually doing it.
So I had them done and went with a dark grey. I think it looks less after market. I see Mercedes themselves like to use gray when they color them. And I didn't want flashy, I want to keep the sleeper aspect of the car intact. The gray could have been a less warm gray, but all in all, I'm happy. Blue would have been nice too. Anyway, tons better than before.
Thinking of selling my beloved R63. It's the only blue with tan interior made, per Crown Mercedes here in Dublin OH — so perhaps it's the rarest of the rare.
