Looking for coolant hose - any help?
So I need to get my hands on hose A2515018282 (the fat hose that connects the radiator to the engine, if you face the engine it goes from the center of the engine block to the middle right of the radiator). I was hopeful that since the engine is shared with many other bodies, it would be a common piece... but nope. It's not only not shared with the ML63, but it's literally unique to the R63 only. Doh! The part is out of production, and there is no stock even in Germany.
Any advice on either where to source it, or some alternate parts? The radiator seems to be shared with the ML63, so I'm thinking in the absolute worst case, I get a hose that the ML uses for the same location, then cut both of them, then do some sort of a junction and hose clamp them on, but I'd rather not MacGyver my radiator hoses if I can avoid it (plus, the hose that's on there now is clearly old, so the less of it I have left, the better it would be for everyone involved).
I seem to have found a place that has it in stock in Dubai, but ... well, I'm not in Dubai, so this doesn't really help me.
Any advice welcome!

The lower hose on the passenger side burst on me suddenly and my car was in the shop for more than a month, waiting for a hose to arrive from Germany. This hose is not only unique to the ML63 but to my ML63 since its based on the kind of equipment/options you have on your car. Keep looking around, Ecstuning.com, fcpeuro.com, even eBay. Worst case scenario is you buy a used one if you can find a wrecked R63. As for fabricating a new hose, I don't think it's a bad idea and is pretty simple actually.

Good luck

Actually yep - the original R63 hose is NLA and nobody could find it, but I picked up the ML63 equivalent on a hunch and despite the part number being different and the angle being just a little bit off, it worked just fine - so get that.

That's awesome. Great call! I'm pre-emptively buying all available coolant hoses for the R63/W251 before more of them become NLA.
My thinking is even if it's not the exact part, it should be close enough so that it can be modified or installed to fit.
Was the hose you got 164-501-38-82 and/or 164-501-41-82? I got both haha.
