why is this forum so quiet
There are not that many posts on this section, where are all the S coupe owners?
I am putting a deposit on a S550 coupe and i wanted to see some more threads going on.

Probably because there aren't that many owners yet or they don't know there's a special forum for the coupe. I've have a 2015 s 550 4 matic coupe. Anthracite Blue/ Porcelain Designo interior/SportPackage . Had it about 4 months. What color/ combo /package did you get.

I ordered a 2016... build date is unknown, they promoised for april 2016
Irridium silver, with crystal gray interior. we have less color choices than in the US (i am in Canada), i am surprised we can't get it in diamond white.
All canadian models already have sport package and warmth package. Only option i am getting is the 20" amg.
how are you liking it?

Hi Guys, I was wondering the same thing as to why this forum is so quiet. I am excitedly waiting for my 2016 S550 coupe as well- Venture, it is actually the exact same color combination as yours, Antrac. Blue and Designo Porcelain, I also splurged on the "flowing lines" wood package, sport pack, warmth, driver assistance, heated windshield. Very excited, supposed to get it within the next 30 days, although dont have an exact date.
Hope to see more owners/ potential owners chime in soon!

I took delivery of my S coupe in Germany on October 8. It was a wonderful experience for me and my family. Eagerly awaiting delivery to the dealer. It went through customs on November 3, so it shouldn't be too long now.
Mine is 040 black with grey designo interior. I also opted for the flowing lines. The renditions online don't do justice to how striking the flowing lines option shows in person.

I just saw one with that combo today. The grey seashell Designo looks good. Plus you get black carpets with that build? That's the only thing I wish mine had was black carpets instead of white. Anthracite blue - porcelain Designo interior.

Picked up my car from the dealer today. 4 weeks from being dropped off in Germany to delivery at the dealer.
Yes, it does have black carpets. I had a lexus with gray carpets that I could never keep clean.

Sorry to see this forum so quiet the S550 Coupe is an incredible car!
I just traded my 6 month old one - not that I was shopping loved the Coupe, but a new GT S followed me home unexpectedly.
Curious though, as much as I liked my faultless S it didn't strike me particularly as an enthusiast car so maybe that is why owners don't participate as much as they do in other forums?
Also interesting, the S got more stares and thumbs up than many other toys I've driven. Car did everything superbly right and would be my only choice if I still needed 4 seats. For now I'll settle for a selfish 2 seater.
Enjoy your cars!

I live in Newport Beach, CA, home to Fletcher Jones, the largest MB dealer in the USA. Within walking distance of my home, there are dealerships for Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Ferrari, Maseratti, BMW and McLaren. I see more new Rolls-Royces each day than I can count on my hands. Since the launch of the S Coupe, I doubt I have seen more than a TOTAL of five or six. If the cars are selling well, it must be someplace else. Frankly, I find the design uninspired. I'm not thrilled with the exterior design of my W222 sedan, but I find it WAY more interesting than the coupe. Just sayin.

Mine has developed lots of rattles. Sometimes is seems like it the top of the door panels or the Windows. On both sides. And also something in the back shelf area. Anyone experiencing this? Any bulletins/solutions ?

It appears to be the window seals...mine only makes noise over rough patches of the road, which fortunately around here are few and far between. MB should indeed however put out a TSB for this. It's interesting, the seals are of a rough/matte texture vs the traditional smooth type.

Yeah. I've noticed the seals are rough. Did your Mercedes dealership /service confirm it was the seals? Did you have it fixed? Roads are terrible here in Houston and it rattles even more when in sport mode. It's kind of disappointing. I took it in once and they put a piece of felt tape so where on the A pillar. It did nothing. I asked again. They said they knew nothing of any other complaints. I really don't want the dealership experimenting on my car if they don't have a clear fix.

I am surprised at how quiet it is here too. I love the design of this car. Maybe with twitter, instagram, and all the other social media platforms people dont visit Forums that much anymore.
This section doesn't even have a photo thread. Anyway I have always loved the design and I am impatiently waiting for mine to arrive.

I just picked up a '17 S550 Coupe in Obsidian Black with Designo Crystal Gray upholstery and Piano Black Flowing Lines trim--this car is amazing looking and the interior design is just over the top. I love the cab rearward design with the big hips--reminds me of a '08 Maserati Quattroporte I once owned. My only disappointment is the back seat leg room--you really need to push the front seats forward too much to get 2 adults in the rear (and be somewhat a contortionist to get in or out) so this is pretty much a 2-seater car with a back seat for emergencies. The trunk is great though so a good 2-person road trip car. I traded in a '16 Audi S8 and this car makes it look really boxy and old fashioned.
