I can't understand, for the life of me, why ANYONE who owns an AMG, would want to put a Buick grill on it!!! You bought an S-Class GT Coupe, the most luxurious, over-the-top, totally unnecessary, highly desirable GT Coupe ever made and you think it should look more like a Buick LeSabre?

that the one I see on ebay. The only thing I dont like if that funky opening for the nite vision. I dont understand why they dont make it like the factory one.
Yeah I understand your point but they include a snap in vertical grill piece that you can modify so that opening isn't so prevalent, I just haven't gotten around to it yet and I'm pretty satisfied with the look as is.

I know they try not to get copyright suits. It looks like it is meant to avoid interference with the sensor toward the lower area. But the stock doesnt interfere. I dont understand it.
what car do you have? does it have the amg style option?
Yes, I have a fully optioned S550 sport with AMG options, plus fully renntech tuned to 605HP with 685 Torque, the car screams past stock S63's, thus the Panamericana grill and also upgraded the brakes and suspension. Here's pics Upgraded AMG brakes and suspension, Renntech tuned biturbo to 656HP 715 TQ S550 monster Dark gray satin metallic with twin spokes and wrapped in Michelin sport 3 plus. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds with the AWD.

So how do you like the renntech? My objection is to the 7 speed trans. Its slow shifting and it hunts for gears way to slow. Does it make the trans feel any more responsive?
You say you have suspension mod, What did you do?
The RennTech is a game changer. It's a torque monster. Every MB tuner mechanic has said the M278 is the best platform MB has put out, and somehow it's more tune-able than the M157? They're words not mine. I also did the RennTech suspension module which lowers and stiffens the airmatics. On the transmission I have the RennTech trans tune and I have zero complaints, the instructions are simply plant right foot to firewall and hold on, it's crisp and smooth and finds the red line with accuracy. Hey for not having to spend the extra $60-70K my RennTech S550 completely eats up stock S63's, E63's, C63's, Audi RS, even smoked a few tuned-up looking Porsche's, and BMW M's are a joke. The AMG 63 snobs on here will look down their nose, but they'll be looking at my tail lights while they do. :-)

Reason: Add RennTech to title

So you have the engine ecu tune and the trans tune, that is the only way to go. But for 5K+ I dont know if I want to spend it on this car. I also hate the soft suspension, and I know you probably have the lowering module but I would probably use the links for $100. But the thing is, it doesnt stiffen it at all. It just makes it lower. I drive in the mountains and I would really rather start our with a amg car. I think thats what Im going to do next instead of spending 5 or more on this car.
I also see you have the chrome side rockers. Which I did too.
I hear you on the suspension, I'm in south FL, not a lot of twisty turns down here, but the lowering module does snug it up a little just by inherently increasing compression of the airmatics. I was thinking of getting some S63 airmatics and components off ebay, they're plug and play for about $1500. I'm going to look into the suspension lowering links you mentioned, I thought about doing it but I chose the plug and play 2 minutes of the module installation compared to the trip to the indy for suspension parts replacement.
On the $5K, for me its all about HP and Torque and that pin you in your seat feeling of 3.6 second 0-60 that makes getting on to the freeway pretty fun. You can spend $180,000 - $220,000 and get a slower car, or you can add $5K to a $130,000 car and own a torque monster that blows those 63's away, that also rides whisper quiet in eco mode with the most comfortable riding car I've ever owned. I don't know, I just don't see it, sure there's wow factor of the 63 badge and slightly different styling, but my S550 has over 600HP and over 700 lbs of torque depending on the temp the day it gets dyno'd for an average $70,000 less. If money is no object and you have an extra $70K then more power to ya. :-)
Love it! just got mine from a company in the UK. it got to my house in NY in 2 days with express shipping. All in, it was just over $400. I'll let you guys know the name after i get it installed, just to make sure the fit is right. But i'm excited to get this and my lip spoiler installed. Next step after that is a Chrome delete. I also have an S550 coupe night edition in that Selenite Gray Magno color.

Great looking car I believe it's Disigno Selenite Grey Magno. Did your car start as a Night Edition?
Yes the grill and the trim is wrapped and my car is a Night Edition not a night pkg option. The car was owned by a premiership footballer who had a lot of custom and performance work done. I would like to remove the wrap as your car looks a lot better. The S550 did come with a Night Edition in the US. - https://www.southeastautoshowroom.co...tion-c-866.htm

Garno, For what it's worth, I think that your coupe looks great as it is, no need to remove the wrap.
We do own a great looking vehicle for sure. Hard to know now what to replace it with as its end of production. Maybe keep for longer than I planned especially as I’ve only used the car for a couple of thousand miles in the past year due to Covid...,,
