Button to raise up doesn't seem to be working
Hello, I recently purchased an AMG S63 4matic Coupe (2018) with about ~7000km on it. It's a Young Star car purchased from Daimler AG in Germany.
Everything is great, but the button to raise up doesn't seem to be working. As I'm parked in my garage, I start the car and press the button, and the dash says it's raising, but the level stays the same. I tried pressing and holding too.
I usually keep the car in Comfort.
The next step would be to contact my service partner, but I decided to ask owners first, in case I'm missing something glaringly obvious. There are no warnings on the dashboard or any error messages.
is it possible that: (1) because it's in Comfort, that's the highest possible level already or (2) I have to get moving in order to get it to raise?
Any ideas?
EDIT: turns out it only works when you get moving, it doesn't work while stationary, which I assume is expected behavior

Same problem here with a’16 S550 coupe I just purchased.. It’s going in soon so I’ll see what’s up then.

Turns out you have to drive for a bit for it to work.
When you press the button, and drive around the parking lot until the "raising up" notification disappears, and stop - the gap between the wheel and the arch is visibly bigger.
Makes sense really, that way they minimize the risk of entrapment
