Unfortunately AMG made some terrible ergonomic choices with the refresh S63 Coupe, and this feature was among the casualties. This is all because they removed the three buttons between the 12.3" screens not he 2015-2017 cars, rather than replace the physician buttons with touch sensitive controls under the single glass panel.
1. Rear sunshade which moved to the door replacing memory #3, which was deleted
2. Rear headrest drop which replaced passenger seat control, which was deleted.
3. Seatbelt extender, which was deleted.
In more than three years of ownership of my 2015 I've used the passenger seat and seatbelt extender quite frequently, have never used the rear headrest drop (and despite the up and down arrows on the button, it does not raise them), and have only used the sunshade on very rare occasions. Also the very convenient 360 camera switch on the driver assist panel on the 2015-2017 which I use daily is gone, replaced by a parking sensor button. Who cares about parking sensors when there is a 360 degree camera ? Another button on the center console has a camera glyph on it, but it is the Active Parking Assist not the camera. So AMG felt it more important to have buttons for the parking sensors and Active Parking Assist then quick access to the 360 camera. The buttons were great on the 2015-2017 and they messed it up - way to go AMG.
And I say AMG because the 2018+ Mercedes-Benz S560 keeps the old passenger seat control and memory #3 on the door, moves the seat belt extender and sunshade to the driver assist panel, and the rear headrest drop to the center console. It also lost the camera button, however.

Mine w/ U88 Drive Unit buttons is supposed to arrive at the Long Beach VPC on Jan 1 with delivery approximately two weeks later. I'm not expecting any differences in the buttons compared to the 2018-2019 cars but will find out soon.

That’s awesome. Congratulations! Looking forward to the pics and “mystery” resolution.

Took delivery of my 2020 S63 coupe (with U88 AMG Drive Unit buttons) today. As expected the driver assist and door buttons are the same as on the other 2018-2019 coupes, i.e. no button for passenger seat control or seatbelt extension, and no driver memory #3. It also now more cumbersome to bring up the surround parking camera. These are major ergonomic fails on the 2018+ refresh cars, shame on whoever at AMG who made these changes.
Luckily everything else on the car is nicely improved. I'll post some pics and impressions in a new thread in a couple days. One quickie from the pickup:
