2018 / 19 S560 Cabrio thoughts

Thinking of getting a 18 / 19 model with <30k miles CPO +extended warranty from an MB dealer. I like large luxurious convertibles (4 seater) and this seems great. I worry about how dated it will feel since the 24 models are coming out (and the financial attractiveness of owning a new car). Appreciate everyone’s thoughts here.

It won’t feel dated at all. Also, the S Coupe/Cab are discontinued with. O return in sight. You also cannot compare it that new CLE mess that is about to be released.

Great cars, but like all german luxury vehicles, the failures come with the luxuries and creature comforts, so with the warranty coverage, you're going to want to look for coverage beyond the drivetrain itself. We had a warranty customer have his neck scarf go out on his S-Class Cabriolet, $6K at the dealership for a new seat and he was on his way. Reach out at tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 to explore extended warranty coverage from our two providers Fidelity and Freedom Warranty, often much cheaper than the dealership's offerings, and repairs are accepted at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships and licensed independents in the country.

this is helpful, thanks. was thinking about 8 series bmw cab, but it seems like a completely different feel / look (less luxurious and comfortable). same for audi a5 which i had previously.

2019 s-class coupe 2018 GLE 350 SUV2017 S-class cabriolet
I have a 19 cab bought new. Have had one problem: Automatic trunk would only open half way. Fixed under warranty.
Depends what you want. The S cab is a highway cruiser in a class with Bentley and RR. Has plenty of power, smooth ride and comfortable.
I had mine in for service and another waiting customer offered to buy the cab on the spot.
Because the cab/coupe are no longer in production you will at some point see proce appreciation due to collectability.
Great cars.
Good Luck

Shortly the 15-20 coupes and cab's will become collector cars as are the 67-71 s- class cab's and coupes.
They are great cars and should be held long term.

2019 S560 Cabriolet
I had a 2015 S coupe and traded it for a 2019 S Cab. Best car I have ever owned. I plan to hold on to it for at least another 3 or 4 years.

Hmm. Have you ever driven the Cab in the snow or rain? I am in the northeast and debating getting the coupe instead of the cab since I would like to use the car year-round.

I live in the DC area so I have driven in snow and lots of rain. The car is as tight as the coupe in rain. It isn’t as good in snow because it does not have 4matic.
