Good deal for this 1972 280se?
I don't know anything about the older Mercedes but do love the style and look of the older ones. I am a current owner of a 2000 CLK-430 Convertible and am interested in this 1972:

I would love to know of current owners how reliable these are and what these cars tend to sell for? Any help would be appreciated.

1972 MERCEDES 280 SE 4.5 LITER V8 CUSTOM - $3000 in florida 40k miles
1972 Mecedes 280 SE - $3500 atlanta
1972 Mercedes se 280 - $2000 R.I.

so it looks like 3900 is on the high end but since it is a cash buyers market I am sure you can get it down.Inspect, inspect ,inspect.Better be a diy type old school mechanics for those years are pricey as are parts.
