Well, that's not so much wide as it is overly tall. Are you talking about how wide is too wide for a stock width wheel or just in general? Obviously if you're running 16" wheels they aren't stock. A 16x8 wheel will take a 245/55/16 tire no problem. Not sure why you'd run a 235/60 series tire on a 16" wheel on your car unless you do some off-roading. I run 275/40/17 on my W126 rear and my father-in-law runs 285/30/18 on his SEC.

well i kind of just like the aggresive look.. the tires on the rims right now are actually for 4x4 vehicles.. i just feel them to handle better.. anyway i have been making some u-turns and traffic merging at godly speeds and so far no complain.. atleast 100times better than horrible stock size 225/65/15 wheels
