my sunroof appears to be stuck.. what i remember doin to it was repeatedly punching it down to mate properly with the gasket.. now it wouldnt slide back more than half inch.. nor lift up more than half inch.. HELPPPPP!!

You might have jammed the cable in the guide tube or the motor. You will need to remove the sunroof headliner, unbolt the cable from the sunroof bridge, and operate the motor to see if the cable is stuck, or the bridge is stuck.
Applying force to these sunroofs is the worst thing you can do. If the roof was not closing properly, maybe something was obstructing it, or the motor needed adjustment.

In your case it will be very difficult to do so. The sunroof needs to go back a few inches. Then you pull down on the front of the headliner until the 4 clips pop out of the sunroof. Pull the headliner forward, and you can access the drive cable.
