hi guys,

on my 1990 560SEC., it has one of those sunscreens..,
how is it suppose to work ?
I see the button for it, and i press it and I can hear it running, but nothing happens.
I can go in the back seat and manually pull it up., it is kind of spring loaded.

any ideas/clues ?

The power rear window sunshade is a rather rare option on US w126 cars. I don't have one on my car, so I don't really have much experience troubleshooting a broken sunshade. From what I have seen on other cars, the screen portion runs up and down the rear window by means of a bar that is located in the center of the window area. Now, if you hear the motor running, but the screen is not rising, I would first inspect this bar for possible problem areas.
