Thanks! nope... no body mods... the lowered effect makes it look stretched.
EXTERIOR:
clear corners; Bosch euro lights retrofitted with Hella HID's (the inner grey ABS trim rings were chrome-plated); painted grill insert (bumper color, but no clearcoat) - need to get the euro headlight wipers; side mirrors to be painted black next; debating whether to paint the lower half & bumpers black as well - but it'll show dirt and scratch too easily (from frequent washings)... and IF I do paint it black, it won't look as stretched either.
SUSPENSION: [H&R claims it'll drop 1.4", but it settled to about 1.75"/1.7" (frt/rr) after 4 months or so]
Bilsteins/H&R springs; removed the rear self-leveling suspension, but it handles MUCH better
WHEELS:
Carlsson EVO 1/6 DE's - 18's, 8.5/9 (FF/RR) painted a single-stage black; Pirelli P-ZeroNero's 235/40/18 (frt), 265/35/18 (rr)
INTERIOR: black leather (EXCELLENT condition), burlwood needs to be refinished, but in decent condition; sound system's the next project - thinkin about ECLIPSE head unit with MB Quart or ADS speakers.

Classy car. Dont paint the bottom, but do see if you can do anything about the orange on those tail lamps, it would look great if you could sand the orange paint off and have all white and red tail lamps.

The amber lenses are molded in the color shown... those were never painted as OEM. I've never heard of amber lenses front OR rear being a painted element on M-B cars. But, to answer the following on red/clear taillight lenses, I've already seen those on another W126 a few months ago - looked REAL bad.
I guess to each their own, but for me, I like to do things to cars that doesn't look like I tried to go way out of line, or out of my way to make it different... I like to just make it nicely modded - clean... otherwise (IMO), you're borderlining "bling-bling" (in a bad way) - there's a fine line between a ride modded nicely, and a ride done like as if the car was attending a costume party... but like I said, to each their own.

Yakusa,
Very nice ride. Did you have any problems with the dropping of the car with the H&R springs? Which did you use the Pro or Sport? I went out on Tire Rack and could not tell any difference from their specs but there has to be a difference.
Also, what Bilsteins did you use? I am getting ready to set my 300 down a bit and this is the path I am going. I have a set of 17" AMG monoblocks with Pilot Sports that are going on the car. I think with the 1.4-1.7 drop it should look correct.

Thanks for the comment & inquiry...
SPRINGS:
as to your question for the H&R spring set-up, I used the "Sport"Spring. I believe that's the only one available for the W126 series. Keep in mind, H&R has a tendency (maybe not as bad as Eibach) to "settle" after a couple of months. I've been informed of this from others as well, but a very reputable manufacturer, nonetheless.
The reason I chose H&R (by default) is that Eibach had discontinued the production of lowering springs for the W126 series - they've sold a TOTAL of 9 sets in the last 5 years. However, H&R still had them in stock but in VERY low numbers - which sadly, makes sense, since there's not many owners who choose to drop their cars in this series. As for the amount of drop (1.4"+) for H&R's claim, it has "settled" to 1.75/1.7 (FF/RR) on my car.
BILSTEINS
The shocks installed are your standard gas shocks - since I wanted to maintain a decent comfortable ride. If I opted for the heavy-duty/sport shocks, it would have rendered a harsher ride.
As for your wheel selection, it also depends on what brand/series tires you choose to go with. The wheel/tire size I have on now, works well with the H&R's on currently. You can't go any lower than what H&R offers for the W126.
Lastly, I forgot to add on the previous "menu of mods" done to the suspension/wheel/tire set-up is: I've added H&R spacers - both front & rear (10mm FF & 25mm RR)... but that was determined by the wheel offset I have for the Carlsson's. The rear was a MUST because I had a problem with the TIRE rubbing into the wheelwell (not the body fender) on certain dips and entering/exiting driveways. NO FENDER MODIFICATIONS were made to accommodate the lowering of the vehicle. Another thing I noticed is, the profile of the tire to be used... some are rounded at the shoulder and sidewall, and some are straight/flat.
EXTERIOR:
Forgot to mention that the window tint is from 3M (80%) all around.
If that's any added info for ya, I hope it works. Let us know what you come across.

wow, your 126 looks very pimp-original gangster...
i see you are an Art Center College of Design grad...what did you study? One of my car club mates graduated as a Transportation Design major and works for GM advanced team design...
btw...you should paint the cladding and bumpers to 040 black...it will look 100X better IMO...

Very nice, I like the body matched wheels a lot. I have been considering a period set of AMG Penta's painted to match the body color of my car.
What is the ride like with the H&R springs? I have been going back and forth on dropping mine for a year.

The ride is much better in terms of handling characteristics, although a bit bumpier, you also have to take the wheels/tires into consideration that contributes to the ride. Just keep in mind that you have to watch the dips and driveways - I enter/exit at an angle (driveways) to prevent the front bumper from scraping. That's the only major trade-off for me.
