1987 300SDL aka the "Money Pit"
It looks like a decent driver that someone pumped some big money into. Kind of like what I am doing to the SDL.
The reason he has $33k into it is probably because $20k is labor. My replaced list is several times as long as his and I only have about $12k into mine. I figure $20k by the time body and interior work are done.
So if you want a perfect W126 figure $20k if you do all the work yourself and start off with a decent rust free driver, or $40k if you pay someone.
However that is probably a very good car, everything has already been done. Unless he wants some insane price for it I don't see why it won't sell, low to mid teens maybe?
Even a 20k mile W126 is getting old at this point, remember age is just as bad as mileage. The suspension, plastic cooling system parts, and body seals age and need to be replaced regardless of mileage.
