Our lovely w126!

I don’t know where to post this since this regards ALL Benz. Anyways I have an old s-class as you guys know! BUT I just realized how GREAT IT IS! It has over 200k on the dash and its 25 years old! Yes it’s a pain for repairs here and there every now and then but now I know what people mean that they FEEL SOLID even after being so OLD (regarding to Bens's).

The other day my cousin let me drive her Honda accord 1996. It has 150,000 miles or so and it felt like CRAP. It felt like it was going to break, while I had her in the passenger seat chanting how reliable her car is I was thinking to myself oh dear god I rather have a Benz that breaks every day but at least it will feel rock solid over this reliable piece of **** that’s about to break on me!

Anyways my car has been in the shop since my break-up. My dad didn’t want me to go get it since I would do crazy **** with it (which of course he’s right). I have driven our Honda hybrid 2004 for 3 months it has 60k miles and it’s already has rattles all over the places. Feels like crap, feels very very bad yet it’s reliable. I step into my Benz and I hear no rattles. Peddle feels strong, steering is nice and light- I just hear the wind blow outside and when I close the door it sounds like I just closed a vault!

Just my .02 as a youngster!

91 560 sel I think is the one I was thinking of, is there a bigger 4 door in this year? was this the best of the best for 126 or was there something better?

No, there was never a 560 SE. There were 380 SE, 500 SE and 420 SE (in the V8) but I don't believe the US got them (except as private imports).

What good is a car if it just sit there and not going anywhere due to reliability problems? The other cars feel like crap but at least you can depend on it to get you somewhere.
