Drivers door switch not working.
My drivers door suddenly stopped activating the interior lights when the door is open... I checked the switch itself in the door post and it is fine. Any ideas?

My car is a 1991 560 SEL

w126 (1989) 560SEL
chances are, you'd have to disassemble the switch and clean up the brass contacts... it may have oxidized to the point where no electrical current can transfer... or a faulty wiring harness or insulation is severed.
