Well I currantly run the same size wheel and tire combo on my SDL. So the problem is the offset.

Cheap spacers on a MB are nothing but trouble, and can be down right dangerous.

This style of spacer is the only kind that should ever be used on a MB. The downside is that the wheels may stick out past the fenders giving that cheap riced Honda look.

The better solution is to sell those wheels and buy the right ones.

Look for the offset number on the back. I *THINK* w126's need about an ET34 but I am not sure don't quote me on that.

SAFE SPACERS. And yes I use them. No other affiliation.

I bought wheels with the right offset, no spacers needed.

any rim will fit

as long as its from an s class mercedes or sl mercedes from 1983 threw 2006. Everythink is the same. Just look at my 87 S class limousine with rims that I put on it from a 2003 sl 500 convertible. No spacers were needed however i put very small 1/4 inch ones on the back to bring the wheel out a little bit. Jeff

No they are most certainly do not. W140's use different lugs and tire size. R129's use a completly different offset. It cost me an afternoon spent picking up wheels off an SL500 and $200 to figure that out that hard way.

R107's may bolt up not sure. I *think* most of the stock wheels offered on the W220 will bolt on.

You really need the offest to determine if a wheel will fit.

Ok that makes sense

I suppose that makes sense because I took wheels off the 03 sl Convertible as pictured and put them on my 126s class. I did not know the regular S class wouldng fit like a 140.Thanks I learn something new eveyday. JJ
