I need help with the rheostat replacement, I have the cluster out but how do you get the stat off?

I think you unscrew it from the back, no?

Thanks DTKW, found the screw and removed the rheostat. This is what happens when you don't remove the steering wheel... Convert

I believe all you need to do is move the steering all the way to the back, there should be enough room to pull the cluster out.

DTKW, Thanks for the info, any advice on trouble shooting brake light on, I checked the fluid level and the parking brake is ok, car sat for a years, should I bleed the system, check the 'low fluid' sending units or try and locate the parking brake engaged switch. Convert

Which brake light? Parking brake or the brake pad warning light?

Parking brake, the system is working but the light is on, is there a reset switch? at the master cylinder or the parking brake pedal.

Or the parking brake cable? Might need adjustment?
