Rear brake squeal

Recently completed 4 new tires, replaced rotors, pads, etc on all 4 wheels. Bled brakes and all seemed well. However, I have a very loud "squeal" problem with the rear brakes, especially when backing up. This is so loud it is very noticeable, and embarassing to say the least. I have tried everything I know, and am carefull of the bleeding on each wheel.
One thing that sticks inmy mind, is the ABS system and the possibility that I have air trapped in the ABS controller. My knowledge of this system is minimal, and I have no idea on the proper way to bleed through the ABS. Due to the complexity, I am almost afraid to tackle it, but would be open to suggestions. By the way, the brake system is fine and fully functional when driving the car forward. Squeal is deafening when backing up.

Are you using OEM rotars and brake pads?

I replaced my Toyota rotars and brake pads with cheaper after market stuff and they squeal like crazy even after a few thousand miles.

MB W126 routine maintenance parts are reasonable. Use them.

You should use only Textar pads and MB brake pad paste. Did you use the paste?

I did use anti squeal paste, however I am sure it was not MB. Also, the pads I used (2) different sets, were purchased at a local auto store. Supposedly the best they had, but not Textar. Where would I purchase these.

my 300sd(before I wrecked it ) and my 420sel both squealed or sqeal a bunch in reverse. the 300sd didnt have abs so it probably isnt that on your car. i adressed this in another forum and senior members told me it was a problem and needed to be rectified soon but i did just as you did and replaced everything to no avail. i just decided that if it cant be fixed, it must be an "option" that ill have to live with as long as my brakes function properly. And they do.
