please help..popping noise when I raise/lower the antenna w/aftermarket system
Hey folks,
I posted this in the audio forum but I haven't heard any replies.
I just installed an Eclipse CD4000 head unit and some vintage Alpine amps. The antenna didn't work so I bridged the antenna power lead from the antenna switch in the dash to an ignition lead at the stereo harness.
It works...but...I get a very LOUD popping noise through the system when I cycle it up or down with the switch!
When I leave the antenna in the up position and turn the car on, the antenna goes up as it should with no popping.
Please help...this is very annoying and surely someone out there has some ideas!
