Unhappy 300SD Master Cylinder replacement lost vaccum

I just replaced my brake master cylinder after starting up the car 1. there is no power assist to the brakes. 2. When shutting off the car - it still is running and have to hit emergency stop to shut it off. Thinking the vaccum booster was the culprit I replaced it and still have the same problem. When I disconnect the main vaccum hose from the booster, there is vaccum and when I "plug" it it shuts the car off. Need help this is my main mode of transportation. btw I have checked all other vaccum connections and they are good.
