1991 560 sec electrical issues
I am usually on the w203 forum... but my dad's baby is a 1991 560 sec with only 35k miles... garage kept and in mint condition. he only drives it a few times a month and noticed a recurring problem with the battery... it would go dead consistently and he couldn't figure out why. this went on for years and to deal with the problem he made a habit of just disconnecting the battery when he wasn't driving it...
the other day after taking it for a spin, he noticed that the cd changer didn't turn off and kept making a humming noise after the car was off. there were no cd's in it but it continuously ran. turns out that there is probably some electrical issue with his cd player and this has been slowly draining his battery.
has anyone ever had a similar issue? he was told at the dealership that there have been similar instances where the rear speakers would never shut down after turning off the car...
any ideas on how to fix this? (other than simply disconnecting the cd player)
and... are there any electrical audio diagrams of this car that we can get ahold of?
any help is much appreciated.
thanks!

You have already found the problem. If you are saying the battery drain issue is resolved after disconnecting the CD changer, then why look into anything else? Why ask for a wiring diagrahm?
Replace or disconnect the changer.

the reason i brought this up was because i was wondering if anyone has heard of this or has any advice on how to fix it.
everything in the car is factory installed... so i assumed that maybe this could be a common defect.
