i like it. Where did you find the bored out(7.3L) M120 engine? And how much?
I wanted to modify a w140 S600 in exact same route. however boring out the 6.0L engine to 7.3L costs too much money,(brabus asked 40k,AMG no longer deals with m120s and renntech asked 30k)

I intend to find a standard 6.0L M120 and in the rebuilding process, have my engine builder bore it to 7.3L. While they are expensive, RENNtech and Brabus are a possability as well as a trusted, independent, Mercedes-Benz engine rebuilder/customizer. I seriously doubt I will be able to find a Mercedes-Benz/AMG built 7.3L M120.

you can go all the way up to 625hp. Pagani Zonda has the very same engine. M120 bored out to 7.3L by AMG. not for the w126 body but w140 body there is a Brabus S 7.3S. Brabus claims 0-60 in 4.5 seconds top speed over 180mph. SL73 (R129)AMG uses the same engine as well putting out 500hp. I hope you are planning to keep the car forever because resale sucks on such vehicles. I remember a 2000 SL73 RENNTECH about a year ago with the same bored out 7.4 engine( renntech bores it out to 7400cc. the car sold for low 40s. thats less than what has been invested on the car. little higher than the market value of a 2000 SL600.

He put in a 500 SL engine into a 560 SEC. It looked totally factory.

Steve is doing this conversion on the other site w more power than Satish's in an F U cops red color---should be pretty nice when completed! I will follow his lead and within a couple of years do the same with one of my 3 sec's
