your air cleaner housing. the black part looks blown apart. not to mention the top is not screwed down or even clipped down into place.

one of the best features of these cars is the cool air intake. meaning, it draws air from the front of the car. unfortunately, that housing is uber expensive. Best you go get one from a junkyard. the flexhose that connects the black part of the housing to the air scoop is cheap and available at the dealer for 8 bucks I think. Your looks like it was on fire as some point.
this is what it should look like

im probley just going to get a cold air intake and mod it and make it work
and see how it runs with it like that.
but as of right now im haveing fuel problems.there is no fuel getting
to the motor.i took the fuel lines off and tried to turn it over and
no fuel came out of the lines.i got a new fuel filter and put it on there
and it still isint working.so mabey its my pump.i was also thinking that
since i tried to start it when it was out of gas mabey i sucked something
into the lines or something is stuck in the tank.

i have no clue i seen it on ebay for 1500 w/o the supercharger.

Dude. your car CAME with a cold air intake. Just go to a junkyard and get one that isn't burnt up. Look at mine. that's the way it's supposed to be. why mod one that won't be as effective?

ah ok. then just ask in any of the mercedes forums under the "for sale/ wanted" threads. I'm sure someone can come up with something fairly quick.
many of us have parts cars. I don't personally, but alot do.

Quite a few:)
Can't seem to find any mention of a fuel problem.. From the looks of things the car can use general round of maintenance.
Also, be weary of what parts you order for after market parts..quite a lot of what's out there is crap.

I got my suspension at
http://www.racepages.com/performance...ped_brand=true
I love mine. Handles like a dream.
Intrax springs and KYB shocks. However, Jonathan tells me the KYB's fade a little after 10k miles. so you may want to go with the Bilstein sport shocks instead. The springs? I love em.
If you are looking for a body kit, there is currently only 1 company making one, other than the koenig kit which is quite rediculous in price. see here.
http://www.koenig-specials.com/mercedes/mb-w126sec.html
The one I have is alot cheaper. However, you would need to aquire some euro bumper bars for this kit if you don't already have em. I forgot too look if you did. This kit will not fit over US bars.
bought it here
http://www.wickedbodies.net

it was shipped from here
http://www.extremedimensions.com/

Or you could keep your eye out for a real AMG kit on ebay. they occasionally pop up from time to time. but of course, substantially more money.

yeah just looked. you have euros. my kit will fit on your car with little trouble.
if your serial number is WDB126XXXX it's euro if it's WDB and letters instead of numbers, it's US spec. By the looks of your car, I'd say it's a euro.

that I wouldn't know. Sorry. If I were you, I'd get the drivetrain back in order first. You do realize, if you want to restore this car, you will put at least twice as much into it as it would be worth when done? Your car is pretty rough. I don't envy you the task of restoring it. I hope you didn't pay alot for it. good luck.

Well here are some sound comparisons I have collected over the course of tuning the exhaust for reference.

Flowmaster 2.5" with front cat still on secondary cat taken off

Flowmaster 2.5" with front cat off

Flowmaster 2.5" with resonator no cats

I'll have to check on that for ya. But honestly, if you are going for dual exhaust, the flowmaster hushpower II's sound the best. If I had full duals, I would go with those in a heartbeat. In fact, I'll be going to them once the twin turbo kit for my car is done later this year.

Mine is a US spec. So that's the way they came. Most euros had 2 downpipes. So it would be easy for you to run full duals which is optimum. I held off on running the duals because I am putting on twin turbos this year and they will come with their own manifolds so I didn't want to waste money on euro try Y manifolds that I would only replace within a year. 400+HP is gonna be sweet. I cant wait. It's gonna run me 5-7 G's though. but the embarassment factor of smoking mustangs with a 3500 lb car will be worth it.
