heres another angle:

i think it looks good, especially how he also has "panzr" plates. also i have seen someone on this forum with a w203 who placed an iron cross instead of his rear benz round emblem. it just looks cool

I like the iron cross symbol but I don't know where I would put it on the body. I'll bet you can find a large one on a license plate that you could put on the front of your car. I think that one on the black car is too small to stand out, but maybe that was that owner's intention.

I like the PANZR front plate. I checked into that and someone in my state already had that on their car (I hope it was at least a German car of some kind).

hey i found that decal on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Small...spagenameZWD1V

they have it in 3", 5" and 6".
im thinking of buying 2 3in decals and placing them on each side of my car near the front two wheels like the owner of the w126. my car is a white w203 so i think it'd look good.

which would look better the "square" balkenkreuz or the iron cross with curved edges?

i think its a nice touch, little inside joke, but honestly I wouldnt want it on my car just because...i mean its the german army symbol...if the ***** hadnt used it i would be all over it, and i would chuckle if i saw it on somone's car...but not for me...its a cool concept though

aside from putting a small "deutschland" eagle on my car, what better way is there to show my pride for my country than with an iron cross. that cross represents German military strength back then and even nowadays. the wehrmacht and the bundeswehr BOTH have the iron cross.

While not my personal heritage, it is for my car and yes the cross is small by intent, I didn't want it to be 'in your face', just a subtle salute to some mighty war machines
Same for the eagle on my license plate, a little nod to it's homeland
I modified the eagle a bit though to make it look a little more purposeful

Talking

"just a subtle salute to some mighty war machines"

i cant agree more. r u German? u have very nice mods on your car, that chrome grille is perfect, the only thing ur missing on the "panzr" is armoured glass, that small kreuz looks very nice on the all black car look, id suggesting tinting it all around also to add to that black-out look,

i think a lot of WWII vets and jewish ppl would find german military symbols offensive. i would just stick to the black eagle, and skip 1933-45...

having pride for, and recalling the days of, prussia, the hohenzollerns, and imperial germany would seem logical to me, but not the **** period.

Yep I have black tints already (35%) also, I'm waiting delivery of some black W126 curtains, which should make the windows even darker

'schwarzwagen' I can understand the distaste of WWII and **** related devices
However the cross and eagle on my car are still used today both by the German military and the (democratic) government

Occasionally I have had remarks/questions refering to their (misunderstood) historical standing, I just try to explain that they should not be mistaken for being representative of Nazism

the iron cross is from the German military, the wehrmacht had it and the bundeswehr now has it. a few of my relatives fought in the wehrmacht, i am not going to start hating my German brethren and their legacy because a couple of "subhumanns" hate what they did. the "subhumanns" are massacring pallastynyons, do u see them hating their leaders for it? NEIN, they love their ALL their war crime leaders for it. i suggest you start appreciating ALL German history, not skipping what the "subhumanns" hate of our history.

Angry

schwarzwagen, do u care what the "subhumanns" think???????? if they tell you they hate your panzer plates, they hate your iron cross, they hate your german or austrian eagle, and they hate your language and your country.
so...now your going to relinquish all that for them, or be nationalistic???????
why don you tell the "subhumanns" that you hate that tea-cup coaster that they wear on their head? or their ugly flag? if they hate the dritte reich, tell them you hate their present day war criminals who bomb civilians in ALL their neighboring countries. those damn devil-worshippers......(thats why "they" hate the cross (kreuz) as adamantly as the devil himself.

all true but the sad fact is the third reich was so out of step with how civilized nations conduct their business that any symbolism connected to that period will forever be questioned.

Um both those symbols pre date **** control of Germany....ok well not quite interestingly enough the German tank markings were at the start of the war a simple white cross, they added the the black lines so that it was not so obvious to the enemy who used it as a target, they changed it about 1940 from memory.

This is a photo from the invasion of Poland sept of '39 see the cross on the side of the armored car?
