Unhappy 1991 420SEL starting problem

I just spent $7000 on my 420SEL replace almost everything!
replace everylast fluid
new radiator and hosings
new head cover gasket
tune up(new distributor,cap and plugs)
new headers
new reference sensor
all new bushings
i cant even remember everything (doesn't even include all the exterior work i've don't headlights grille rims etc)

But even after all this work everytime I cold start the car I have to start it twice unless I hit the gas pedal hard. Ive been thinking its the ignition but if the car is warm it starts with out a problem. any suggestion?

Fuel check valves, temp sensor, eha? Are there any other symptoms besides the hard start?

Any one of those three things I mentioned could cause a hard start. Have you tried checking the fuel pressure then checking for falloff after shutting off the engine? This would indicate the check valves. Probably the cheapest replacement, although it is probably a good idea to replace the fuel accumulator at the same time since it comes out.

It changes all the time
I personally think you should get some of your money back for the grill and "DUBS" and such and give it to a professional mechanic to keep your ride on the road. You can't show it off if you can't drive it.

appearance is everything! i could afford to replace the whole motor but why would i do that with a car that i drive STRICTLY on sunny summer days? So i compromise fit the motor and make sure the car still turns heads and believe me if u c me drive by u'll turn ur head too!
