1991 420SEL thermostat location
i cannot find where the thermostat is located. i thought it was under the housing on the top of the engine, where the upper coolant hose runs in, but it isn't in there. my service manual conveniently makes no mention of the word thermostat, and i'm stumped. thanks for the help.

It's located just under the upper hose housing. Just changed mine along with all the belts and hoses.
