Hello other W126 entusiasts.I need help please identifying the coachbuilder of my 1000SEL.The VIN is WDB1260392A305108.Its a 560SEL with an extra 300mm approx added to the wheelbase and has an electric division and bar cabinets TV etc for the two rear seat passengers.Its a really big car for only four people as the rear electric seats have a console between them precluding an extra passenger.
From whikapedia I have established coachbuilders SGS,Bertone,Trasco,Kugok,Vantagefield as possible builders of the car.
Please can anyone help as I need to know the manufacturer so I can register the car in New Zealand. Thanks

If you know the car was originally sold in GB, I would try tracing down the dealer that sold it, they could probably tell you who did the coachwork.

I really appreciate any help with the car.
I have the car running and it all works even the height-adjustable rear suspension and the A/C and the rear recilining seats.The car is in really lovely original condition for its age and 137,000 K's.
I will email MB GB and try to find the selliing Dealer when new.
I am surprised that a definite date of production cant be gleeaned from the VIN
