'87 560SEL / '77 240D Package...Deal or No Deal?
Ran across someone in the DC area selling a '87 560SEL and a '77 240D. They're willing to sell them either individually or as a package. The 560's engine sounds like it's going to start--but doesn't; the 240 needs an engine. Neither have rust. The mileage on the 560 is in the low 200s and the 240 is in the low 100s. Asking price for the 560 is 5K and the 240 is going 3K. If I want both, I can get them for 7K. DEAL or NO DEAL???

no deal - thats an outrageous price for either of those cars
I bought a nice running driving 89' 560 SEL for $1,300 and a mint 1976 240D 4-speed for $2,440.

correctamundo for the 560 - ebay, autotrader, craigslist.
I bought the 240D off a collector... the 560 engine and trans are going into the 240
