Self Leveling, or not self leveling, that is the question

I've got sls in my '85 SEL. I've been thinking about getting rid of it. I plan on transitioning to H&R springs, and Bilstein HD shocks just like everyone else. I realize they have spring sets for those with or without sls, but like I said, I want to get rid of mine. I just want one set ride height, and I want it to look the same when the car is parked and turned off.
Is there anyone on here that might have some suggestions. What do I need to do to disable the SLS system and not worry about vacuum being lost, or the pump working when I don't need it it, etc?
