560SEL: Engine cuts off right after start - Fuelpump?
Hello
I have a question for my 1986 560SEL.
I get it cranked up - but as soon as I release the key from the ignition/cranking position to the normal on position - the engine will stall.
If I keep the key in the start position - the engine will not stall.
I was thinking about the fuel pump but don't think the engine would keep running in the start position.
Anybody can help me on this one?

More like the fuel pump relay. Remove it and use a jumper on sockets 7 and 8 to make sure the pump runs. The FPR makes sure there is an RPM signal from the EZL to keep the pump running.
One thing you can do is open the FRP and solder the relay connections on the PC board. The joints crack with age and vibration.
