Whats under the 1988 560SEL trunk badge?
I'm thinking about removing the 560 SEL emblem off my secondhand Ebay trunk lid and just going with the clean look for the back (its a 300 SE) for awhile.
What's under this emblem? are there any holes or pegs? The trunk lid came from a 1988 560 SEL,
thanks!

True color coat may be a bit faded, however- it would be a good guide in applying the correct badge when I find one.
Decalservice- do you know a good adhesive solvent that wont attack the clearcoat? Its the original paint, still in good shape.
Thanks-

I use GoofOff extra strength for those stubborn or old adhesives at our vinyl shop. www.decalservice.com
We specialize in vehicle graphics, and GoofOff or StickerOff! are the products we have had luck with.
Also - a dental pick and careful hands will also remove the adhesive. An old trick is to take a bit of the adhesive off, and use it to remove the rest... removing adhesive with adhesive. It would, however, need to have a bit of stickiness still to it. Good Luck!!
