Best Bang for my buck - 300SE? 300SEL? 420SEL?
I've been breaking my own ***** on whether to make a W126 or W140 my next purchase. both cars look stellar with the sharp body lines and unique design MB put on both models BUT I'm torn and need definitive suggestions on what you think is the best overall model and year and why I should go with your advice.
*I will be taking the SLS off and replacing it with H&R lowering shocks and springs so I'm not really concerned if the car has SLS or not but it would be nice if the SLS is not on the model I pick.
*Also, let me know what the best wheel/tire size and offset is best for W126 and W140
Thanks!! and ALL replies will be analyzed for true MB Enthusiasm..lol

Depends on you; best bang for the buck is the 300SE, but you might not like the I-6's lack of uumph. If you're going to lower it, then I'm assuming you'd want some power. Might as well go for the 560SEL because they're cheap and plentiful. Then again, if you really want something special, find yourself a euro-only SE model. Short wheelbase makes for less of a "boat" feel. Get really lucky and nab an ECE version of the M117.
