I actually have 2 questions. Car has 185k on it.
#1) Noticed light blue smoke at start up and acceleration. Replaced valve seals. Still doing it. Compression on each cylinder is within 5 lbs of each other. None lower than 50 psi. What else could this be as it doesn't smoke any other time?
#2) Engine will surge between 500 and 900 rpm when shut off (after complete warm up), and restarted when not fully warmed backed up (below 80C). The idle control valve is good (tested), could this maybe be the cold injection valve?
Thank you for any advice and assistance.

Have a professional test compression and leak down to pinpoint the loss. Smoke on acceleration might indicate bad rings. Smoke on decel would indicate valve seals, which is why replacing them didn't help. If you really have 50psi, then you're about 100psi off on that cylinder.

I may have miss-wrote the cylinder psi. When I tested the cylinder compression, I did talk to a MBZ mechanic and he said that the compression was within normal range.
