420SEL Stretch Limousine - Fuel Leak
Hi enthusiasts!
Just picked up my first MB and couldn't be happier. I've always had Japanese cars but it looks like Europeans are going to play a big part in my life now.
Pictures will definetely follow, will upload some by the end of the week. Right now though I am trying to work out why my engine bay smells like raw fuel. Essentially I've located the leak to a white/pink line that goes from somewhere underneath the fuel distributor to the left hand side breather pipe (which attaches to the left valve cover). It is leaking fuel and I've got no idea what it's for or how to stop it. Hopefully someone can come to my aid.
Thanks in advance.
BTW, the line I'm talking about is circled in red below:

Here's the solution I had with my 1987 420SEL when I had a raw gas smell.
"It was suggested to check the EHA and sure enough, I could see a little seepage when the engine was running, so I replaced the EHA and 'O' rings and it greatly reduced the odor." (First and third picture.)
