420SEL Thermostat Question
Hi All -
Question for the W126 owners….I am attempting to replace the thermostat on my 89 420SEL. I have removed two of the three bolts holding the housing but the last bolt (the one that is almost hidden in back) seems impossible to remove. What am I missing. Is there a trick to this or what??
I have NOT removed the alternator…..after doing some research, several people have replaced the thermostat without removing the alternator. If possible, I'd like to keep the alternator installed.
