560SEL buyers advise
Being a biggest fan of MB I never owned one. I realized that the life is too short and it is time to get a toy in 1:1 scale in my collection. As some people say you have to own MB at least once in your life

Among new MB my favorite model is GLK. I was thinking of buying it and using it as the only vehicle (I like the original version), but I read too many complaints about its' quality, including transmission problems on almost new cars and was kinda shocked. So, another option was to get a classic MB as a second car to drive it not very often and not in winter. I love The Art of Bruno Sacco, so I was considering buying a 1978-95 E or S class sedan with very low mileage, less that 30.000, close to mint condition and checking Autotrader and Ebay listings. I found a couple of 124 that meet my requirements but then I found out about that problem with wiring harness on 3.2 and 4.2 engines, and I decided not to buy 94-95 W124, because it is hard to find earlier "harness issue free" W124 made in 80s with low mileage. I noticed that W126 has better reputation that W140 (one W140 600SEL with 17.000 miles was sold on Ebay for less than 20 grand recently), and it is hard to find mint W116 with low miles. So, I am looking at W126 and I like it more and more as I look at it more. It is not difficult to find it with low miles and almost mint, because previous owners took care of them and sometimes used not on daily basis.
I need your advise, guys. If I really like the car is it worth paying around 20000 for 560SEL in mint condition with less than 30000 miles?

Pay as much as you can for the best car you can find. It will pay off in the long run.
Play with the price though there are not many looking to buy what you want to buy.
