#3 Cylinder Gone!

I recently discovered my car has been shaking like crazy lately, so i decided to take my car to the shop to see whats wrongs. it turns out my #3 Cylinder is not working! I was only running on 7 cylinders, no wonder it felt so sluggish lately. my car is a 1987 420SEL, has like about 115K on it. Do you guys think i should fix the car? or should i get rid of it? anyone know how much it would cost to fix this problem? thanks

If the body, interior, and other mechanicals are in great shape (and with only 115k, they should be) I would keep it. You'll be hard pressed to find another great car for a decent price. The cylinder failure could be something as simple as incomplete combustion from a bad injector or spark plug, or something more serious like valve clearance errors or even a busted rod. The fix could be as cheap as $40 to anywhere in the thousands.

Glad to hear everything is working well! The solution sounds odd for the problem, but if it's not broke, don't fix it!
