1991 350SD Odd noise at front of engine.

Starts and runs well
Before everybody begins to tell me tje story of the terrible 603 motor I am very familiar with their reputation. My first question would be how can I determine if this car has a newer style replacement engine or block in it based on the vin and second I am experiencing an odd noise from the front of the motor, it almost sounds like an accessory noise. Here is a link to a video of the engine running.

1991 350SDL, 2006 E320CDI, 1999 F250 7.3L Crew Cab 4X4
Check the belt tension shock by pressing a hammer handle against the portion of the shock where the bolt attaches it to the cylinder head. Put downward pressure on the top bushing of the shock and see if the noise changes. If the noise is less, replace the shock.
