My bumpers are blasted from 250k of driving. I would like to sand the plastic and repaint with something close to a match. I called automotive touch up in Florida and they suggested looking on the forums for the color code needed http://www.automotivetouchup.com/tou...83/all-models/
I tried to do a search without any luck. Does anyone know what color code works for the plastic bumpers and side cladding?
I understand this is not the vin it is the build tag for the car, the vin doesn't contain paint information on this era of Mercedes.
The Mercedes dealer referred me to a local specialty Mercedes certified body shop. The senior foreman took a look and verified I was looking at the correct numbers on the tag 501 (orient red) for the body, he then told me that body cladding is not coded but the correct color is 7700. (Alto grey mat metallic). There is another color available but it is much darker.
