cracked windshield on my 300SE
I'm so mad, I was driving and this huge truck in front of me picked up some rocks in his rear wheels and it flew straight into my car!!! The crack was very small and I left the car for one hour and the crack went from a size of a quarter to spreading to about a foot and a half long!!!!!! I'm so mad, but I was just wondering how much it would be to replace the windshield. Thanks.

I've had mine replaced many times. I like having a new one every 2-3 years as I don't like to look through pits to see the road and my big old hood. It really freshens up the driving experience to have a nice clear/clean windshield. I paid $270 the last time, and the guy came out and did it in my garage.

My insurance replaces the windshield if it gets cracked or has starburst(s). Last people that did it (before the time I had it done) screwed everything up, they broke some pillar thing or something and now something is touching the body that shouldn't or something like that, they also put my wipers back in the wrong position. Now everything is good cept the broken pillar thing (there are 2 of them, one of mine is broken).
