W126 Central Locking Pump

How can I test this pump when it is out of the car?
The pump has a 2 pin connector for 12V and three
pins next to that. There is a single vacuum connector.
Any thoughts appreciated...………………………...mw

Very strange, your 126 pump is showing a total of six pins, yet you have indicated that you only have five------in any event there are no bench test for the pump. All electrical and pneumatic tests are accomplished while connected.

also check circuit board

Put a hot and a ground onto the 12v. The three wire connector is for the truck lock wiring. I just swapped one on my 16V. It may show that it is a 6 pin, it seemed the plastic connector guide (as I have always referred to them) counts as a pin now a days. Also, pop the lid and look at the circuit board within. Mine was crusty!
