Euro bumpers and lights for my new 89 560 SEC
Hi all,
I bought a '89 560 SEC with 150k miles a couple of days ago, it's a little rough around the edges but I think I paid a reasonable price. I'm really happy with it and I intend to bring it back to its former glory, but I'm not in a rush.
I've been reading about Euro bumpers and I think I can get away with a Gen I for the front and Gen II for the rear (SEL works too). Is this right?
What about euro head and tail lights? I need to replace the right headlight because it's broken anyways and euro versions look much better. I believe getting wipers to work is a little tricky and I don't know how difficult/expensive is to get euro wipers, so I would consider removing them altogether. Any ideas?
Oh, one more thing, it has 17" chrome amg wheels, I'd prefer amg monoblocks but I only found them for around $2k. I need to replace tires as well, what other options do I have?
Thanks in advance,
Leo

They are! I finally decided to pull the trigger and switch both, it ended up being really expensive the installation and refinishing the bumpers but still I'm very happy with the result!
