Go to www.mbcoupes.com. Click on the 126 SEC and go to parts vendors. The site has a very good listing of potential selections. Buy a used engine with a warranty from a junk yard. Don't waste you money on a new one. What happened to your engine? Run it without oil?

here's what happened:

my car broke down while i was still cruising on a two-way street. the steering wheel locked but everything else seemed to be functioning. so i cut off the power and tried to start up the car but that didn't work. so i pulled off to the side of the road and checked under the hood. couldn't see **** in the middle of the night without a flashlight. i walked down maybe a quarter mile down the road to find the the yellow phone booth but no luck. ****.

so i walked back and as i crossed the street to get to my car, a good samaritan in his pick up stopped to help. i told him about my situation and he let me use his cell to call a towing company. the guy arrived after 30 minutes or so. extremely nice and courteous. he had some sort of accent but couldn't really tell. because of the traffic. on the way to my house, i got to talk to him some and it was one of the better conversations i've had in my life. nothing really in retrospect but was easy-going.

anyway, i commented on how fast it was for a tow truck and he said, "oh yeah, it's ****in' sweet man. V-10 turbo diesel. this baby's about 5 months old. i got the wastegate modified and i chipped the engine believe it or not."
i was ****in amazed at its towing power and still have plenty of horses to pull some g's.

it was pretty damn cool. besides the fact that my car is now dead. i'm gonna have buy a new engine, rip my car apart, and do some work. it was bound to happen and i already had this planned so i guess not a bad start.
