Ride Height

Hello, I have a 1989 560 SEC, have changed the front and rear springs on the car with what I was told are the correct springs. The issue is the front of the car looks like its an off roader :-)
There is at least 6" between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch,
Could any one that has a standard SEC 560 tell me what height they have either from the ground to the top of the wheel arch or from the centre of the wheel to the top of the wheel arch.

As anyone that has removed the front springs will know its not the nicest job in the world so I really only what to have to do it once.

Thanks in advance

who told you what was correct spring?
maybe they were wrong?

springs set ride height...as they support the weight....
This is what makes coil overs so great in that you can change spring mount to increase or reduce spring loading to reduce or increase ride height.

Same Problem!

I’m having the same problem! I have an early 126, a 1980 500SE. Since it’s a grey market car, it’s a little tricky to find the correct parts, but I double checked with a European seller as well.

I used Lesjöfors 4056817 in the front and it looks ready to go rock crawling…. The alignment is also interesting…

It’s been a couple of months, so they should be settled by now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
