Car door locks don't work

Car door locks don't work
I own a 420 SEL and am seeking a way to troubleshoot the vacuum door lock system. The pump is good so it is either a vacuum line or one of the elements in the doors. HELP!!!!!

I had to replace my vacuum door servos (left rear and right rear) on my 1985 380SE--in May of 2002 with 102,084 miles on the car. My mechanic took care of it. As I recall, it was a pretty simple repair with no down time. Good luck, and welcome to the board!

get yourself a vacuum tester from Advance or where ever.. Pull the door panel and plug it into the line feeding your door lock. If it works, you have a leak in the line somewhere, if not.. you need a new element.. Not a terrible job.

Thanks for the advice on the door locks guys. My car also has a peculiar electrical anomaly. The interior light (the one above the rear view mirror) comes on when I'm driving and turn my radio on. If I leave the radio on it won't go out. If I turn the radio off it switches on and off with delay as it should. Any advice would be great.
